Canadian? Tired of a killer exchange rate? I’ve got you! Canadians pay the same rate in CDN as Americans do in USD.

Heck yeah! How do I get started?
The Process:
-
We’ll go over your needs, time frame and options for your website.
-
We’ll determine the time frame, sign the contract and book a strategy session.
You’ll pay the deposit to reserve your space. It’s 1/3 up front, 1/3 when work starts and 1/3 when the site is published.
During the strategy session we’ll go over the project, deliverables and schedule.
-
You’ll receive some easy to follow forms to help you firm up details such as the desired look and feel of your site and gather your content (copy and images) etc.
You’ll also receive some helpful guides on branding, how to write copy and get great images
You’ll have access to a client portal to make submitting your content, communication and checking on progress easy
-
Once I have your content (you’ll need about 2-4 weeks to gather it), I can start your site on the due date we’ve set.
I complete the home page and you’ll have 24 hours to review and suggest changes.
-
The rest of the pages will be built over the next 2-5 days and you’ll have the following week (or 2 for a larger site) for unlimited review and revisions.
-
On the scheduled launch date, your domain will be connected and your site will go live. Time to celebrate!
We’ll have a training call, you’ll have access to how-to videos to update your site as needed and you’ll have 4 weeks of email support after launch.
You deserve an amazing website that showcases your business and helps it grow.
My goal is to ensure
you’re not only delighted with your new website, but as excited as a flock of ducks trying grapes for the first time.
(just Google it)
Wondering if this is worth it?
Your website is often the first point of contact with your potential customers
You have seconds to catch their attention and keep it long enough for them to know you’re the ones they want to work with
Your website needs to be clean, easy to navigate and have a clear call to action
If you’re thinking this sounds expensive, it can be, but it’s an investment that pays off massively
How much is it worth to you to have a website that works for you 24/7 and helps grow your business?
Questions?
-
Depending on whether you need a mini or full site, the turn around time is 1-3 weeks. You’ll also need to schedule at least two to four weeks in advance to gather your website content (your copy and images), which I’ll need to receive before I can start working on your site. A branding session adds about another week.
-
I love to use Squarespace as it’s very user friendly and easy for clients to maintain and update. (Though you can purchase a maintenance package if you need to)
-
You’ll need to provide your website copy and images, your branding. If you need help with that, you can add a mini branding session to your package.
You’ll also need to provide your legal policies (Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions). I can recommend a service I use for that.
Make sure to leave yourself time before the project starts (think at least tow to four weeks) to work your way through the forms I’ll provide to make this easier for you. The more thought and effort you can put into this, the better the site I can make for you.
-
Squarespace provides your web hosting (and a domain that's free for the first year if you wish to purchase it from them) and has annual and monthly plans that you can view here.
You’ll need the business plan as it provides you with analytics to view your website traffic as well as integrations like your newsletter host (if that’s not Squarespace) and any customized code needed for your site.
As a Squarespace Circle member, my clients receive 20% off their first year’s subscription.
You can definitely bring a domain you already own that’s registered elsewhere and I’ll connect or transfer it to Squarespace as appropriate.
-
There aren’t other costs from me but you may incur costs such as:
• Costs for your legal policies if you don’t have them already. You legally need a Privacy Policy and it’s recommended to also have Terms and Conditions.
• Service fees if you process payments through your website
• Additional subscriptions for things like scheduling plans such as Accuity or Calendly if you use them
• An email marketing service, if you aren’t using a free one
• Adding outside membership services such as Circle or Mighty Networks -
Yes, for websites, one third of the project cost is due up front as a deposit to hold your booking in my calendar. One third is due at the start of the project, and the final third is due on the last day of the project, before it’s published.
For design days, half is due on booking and half the day of.
-
If you need simple branding assistance, I offer a mini branding session that provides colours, fonts, a word mark logo and style suggestions. This would be an extra that adds about a week to the project and costs $500. You’d receive a style sheet you can use elsewhere in your business.
Alternatively, if you need full on branding help, I have some fantastic branding experts that I work with that can help you.
-
Yep, you’ll need at a minimum Terms and Conditions as well as a Privacy Policy that complies with your jurisdiction's laws. You’ll need to provide the wording, either in consultation with a lawyer or via various services that can provide it for you.
-
Absolutely! That’s the beauty of using Squarespace, they make it very easy to do. I’ll provide you with tutorials that show you how to make changes, add a new page, blog posts or gallery images. You’ll have 4 weeks of support as well after the launch for any questions.
